New Tokens Added to Brick-Chain Swap: Expanding DeFi Utility on Base

Brick-Chain Blog • Product Update

We launched Brick-Chain Swap to make on-chain trading simple, transparent, and fast. Today, we’re expanding the lineup. In addition to USDC and WETH, you can now access swaps for cbBTC, AERO, BRETT, ZORA, DKAI, and cbETH on Base—broadening utility while keeping the experience clean and self-custodied.

Why This Matters

Adding more tokens isn’t about padding a list—it’s about unlocking practical workflows for everyday on-chain activity. With these additions, you can move between blue-chip assets, creator ecosystems, Base-native DeFi protocols, and liquid staking derivatives in a few clicks. You stay in control of your keys the entire time; Brick-Chain never holds customer funds.

What’s New: The Tokens

cbBTC — Bitcoin Liquidity on Base

cbBTC is a wrapped representation of Bitcoin designed to bring BTC liquidity into the Ethereum L2 world. For users, that means faster settlement and access to on-chain tools—while retaining BTC exposure. It’s a pragmatic bridge between Bitcoin’s store-of-value and DeFi’s composability.

AERO — Liquidity and Routing on Base

AERO powers Aerodrome Finance, a prominent Base-native DEX focused on efficient liquidity incentives. For traders, more robust liquidity often translates into tighter pricing and less slippage across supported pairs.

BRETT — Community Energy, On-Chain

BRETT reflects the cultural side of Base: community-driven, high-energy, and widely recognized across the ecosystem. While it’s a meme coin by origin, it has real on-chain activity, and many users want simple routes in and out alongside majors and stables.

ZORA — Creator and Culture Infrastructure

ZORA connects to a creator-first protocol that pushes digital art, media, and NFTs deeper into on-chain distribution. For users interested in the intersection of culture and crypto, having ZORA available via quick swaps streamlines participation.

DKAI — A Decentralized Stablecoin

DKAI is a decentralized stablecoin project emphasizing transparent collateralization and on-chain mechanics. Stablecoins remain one of DeFi’s most important tools; having additional options supports a wider range of treasury and payment workflows.

cbETH — Liquid Staked ETH Exposure

cbETH represents staked ETH with liquidity benefits, allowing you to maintain ETH price exposure while participating in staking yield off-chain. On L2, this becomes more accessible thanks to lower fees and faster confirmations.

USDC & WETH — The Anchors

USDC and WETH remain the anchors of many DeFi flows. They’re typically the easiest path between stables and blue-chip assets, and they serve as the backbone for most pairs available today on Brick-Chain Swap.

Additions are rolling out progressively. If a pair you expect isn’t visible yet, check back soon—we’re validating routing and monitoring execution quality as we scale.

How to Swap on Brick-Chain

The flow stays the same—fast, self-custodied, and transparent:

1) Connect your wallet (MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet)
2) Select your token pair (e.g., cbBTC → USDC)
3) Review your quote (route, price, est. gas)
4) Confirm swap and sign the transaction

Under the hood, Brick-Chain taps decentralized routing and liquidity networks to help find competitive pricing. Quotes and routes are visible before you sign, and you’re always approving from your own wallet.

Notes on Risk, Fees, and Custody

  • Self-custody: You never deposit tokens with Brick-Chain. You approve a transaction from your wallet, and settlement happens on-chain.
  • Fees and gas: Base keeps transaction costs low compared to mainnet. Network conditions may still vary during spikes.
  • Token selection: We’re expanding thoughtfully. Listings prioritize liquidity, utility, and demand across the Base ecosystem.
  • Smart contracts: On-chain interactions carry risk. Review approvals, routes, and contracts before confirming.

What’s Next

We’ll continue to add Base-native assets, expand available pairs, and improve routing. Longer term, our roadmap includes smarter order intents and broader cross-ecosystem connectivity—while keeping the front end simple enough for anyone to use confidently.
